James P. Martin, CFA
James Martin is the Chief Portfolio Manager at Greystone Financial Group, Inc. He began studying and trading the financial markets at the age of seventeen. After earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in Finance from Michigan State University, he began his professional finance career in 1983 with a commercial bank. While at the bank, he served as a financial analyst and trader, assisting in the development of hedging strategies using futures, options and interest-rate swaps to manage the bank’s interest rate exposure. In 1993, James began his work as a personal financial counselor and joined Greystone Financial Group in 1996. He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and is versed in areas such as investor psychology and market sentiment. In his role with Greystone, James is responsible for the design, selection and implementation of client portfolios. He also serves as the firm's compliance officer.


Eric W. Babcock
Eric Babcock has worked in the financial services industry for more than twenty years. Before joining Greystone Financial Group, Eric was with several leading financial institutions where he helped individuals build, manage and understand their portfolios. Eric earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Arts in Economics from Walsh College. Eric is active in the Cub Scouts, Troy Chamber of Commerce and his church.




Irene Cheung, CFA, CAIA, FRM

Irene Cheung is the Managing Director of Greystone Financial Group’s alternative investment business. She has nine years of experience in mutual fund and hedge fund due diligence and research before joining the company in December 2010. Irene earned dual honor degrees of BA in Business and Japanese Studies from the University of Sheffield, U.K. and MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Boston, Graduate School of Management.

She is a charter holder of Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Financial Risk Manager. Irene is a member of the New York Society of Security Analyst (NYSSA) Investment Strategy Committee and a coordinator of the NYSSA CFA Study Group Program. She speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.
